My muse and inspiration for my art is the experience that is my life. I grew up in poverty, having limitations, and becoming responsible at a young age. I always felt my sense of wonder and youth were kind of taken from me because there was so much I didn't get to experience. But here I am writing this post.... today.... so obviously something went right.... right? WRONG! I had to find out the hard way about an issue I had: Mental health. I internalized pretty much every negative feeling I've had since I was like seven years old. So this year I reached my limit (surprise I didn't know I had a limit!). I broke down, hated myself. And attempted the darkest thing I've ever done in my life. I tried to end it all.
Of course I failed (thankfully) and was admitted to a hospital. I've grown since then. I rediscovered my art and started to pursue it again. My muse for each picture isn't just some "cool idea" I just plucked out of ny brain, its symbolism. Each picture represents a part of my experience. I hope you all feel something similarly to what I feel every time you look at one of my pieces.
